About Becky Miller

A little bit about me. I have spent many years travelling the world, exploring, adventuring, learning new things, meeting wonderful souls and following my path, which has taken me in all sorts of amazing directions. I try to always follow my heart and move intuitively and organically through life. I am a great lover of the outdoors and enjoy being in nature as much as I can.  You will usually find me on a long walk on the beach or dipping in the ocean, which is my healing place. I find joy in the simple things; my morning coffee, a dance in the kitchen, deep connections and singing in the shower.

I have been on a healing journey myself over the last 10 years and that journey continues as I move through life with curiosity and the passion to grow and heal. Over the years I have explored many different healing modalities which have helped me to grow and overcome many challenges. I feel very passionate about being aware of what we are experiencing in the moment and allowing it to be in its fullest, using different tools to create shifts and releases organically.

I love having the opportunity to now share these tools with others that are on a healing journey.  I personally believe that no-one can heal another person, but we can hold space for the healing to happen when the individual is ready and open for it.

About Becky Miller

My ethos is to always follow my rainbow and path, to say yes to life and live it to the fullest, to adventure, to love, to be kind in my thoughts and words and to continue to grow and be completely open to change and what life has to offer. I look forward to meeting you on the mat or somewhere else! If you want to have a chat about where you are on your journey and would like to discuss what I may be able to support you with, please don’t hesitate to get in touch..

My journey so far…..

Biography

I started practicing yoga in 2003 when I was 21years old and recovering from a snowboarding injury.  Although I began yoga for physical reasons, the practice soon became a huge part of my world and became an amazing tool that really helped me to navigate challenges in my life.

I completed my first teacher training in 2009 at the Byron Yoga centre in Australia. After that I continued to travel the world practicing and studying with various teachers that inspired me and sharing the practice of yoga with others.

From alignment to embodiment: my yoga journey as a teacher

Over the years I have gained over a 1000 hours of teacher training in Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yin yoga, Restorative yoga and yoga for kids.  My practice and teaching style of yoga has transformed, evolved and shifted organically over the years.  I love to offer my students the freedom during the practice to find space and nourishment in their bodies, hearts and minds.  I have shifted away from teaching traditional styles of yoga with a focus on alignment to teaching embodied yoga (link to embodied yoga) offering students the space and guidance to move with more freedom  and intuition.

About Becky Miller

My healing journey through Yoga, Dance & Culture

Over the last couple of years I have spent time living, studying and teaching in the beautiful South Goa, India, where I have been able to immerse myself in the lifestyle and culture and experience many different healing modalities which have been very supportive in my own healing journey including sound healing and dance as a form of therapy.

From my own experiences, yoga, dance and the practices of meditation, breath work and yoga Nidra have been transformational and healing through traumatic and difficult times in my life and I continue to practice all of these things to stay balanced, connected and full.

I believe that healing is a life long journey and I continue to study, read, practice and grow.

My dancing journey

Over the years dancing has become an amazing healing tool for me after attending many different dance workshops and events. I now dance almost daily; and it gives me such a great feeling of freedom in my physical self and really helps me to process any feelings I have . Dancing also just brings me so much joy and happiness. After completing my Brahmani Sacred dance teacher training in August 2023 I now offer classes and workshops at various locations in the uk and online.
